TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Knot Out Therapies — Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Knot Out Therapies. On booking via the www.knot-out.co.uk website, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
As classes and treatments have evolved from being solely in-person to a combination of in-person and online sessions, these terms reflect the way services are now offered. They're intended to give everyone a clear and fair framework, while also recognising that life happens — a little understanding and flexibility from both sides goes a long way.
Practitioners
All practitioners (the "therapists") listed on the website/platform are self-employed and operate independently. Each practitioner is responsible for upholding their own professional standards, insurance and indemnity. The www.knot-out.co.uk website and booking system exist only to facilitate the scheduling of appointments and classes.
Booking an Appointment or Class
Clients and practitioners can manage appointments via the booking system or via email. It's the responsibility of each practitioner to keep their availability up to date and to notify the client should they need to cancel or reschedule.
Once your booking is confirmed, your place is reserved specifically for you. This means that, particularly for smaller classes, a cancellation can leave a space that may not be possible to fill at short notice — so please give as much notice as possible if you know you're unable to attend.
Payment for Services / Classes
All payments for appointments or classes are to be made directly to the practitioner at the time of the appointment. The booking system does not process or handle any payments. Your booking confirmation will confirm the preferred payment method, and this can also be checked directly with your practitioner prior to or at the time of your appointment.
Cancelling or Changing an Appointment
Cancellation and rescheduling can take place up to 24 hours before your appointment. Please review and follow the specific policy for your appointment type as set out below and confirmed on your booking.
Where sufficient notice is given, practitioners will do their best to offer a credit or alternative arrangement where appropriate. For cancellations within 24 hours or missed appointments, a credit or refund may not always be possible, particularly where the space cannot reasonably be filled by someone else — any charge in this case is at the practitioner's discretion, as set out in the service-specific terms below.
That said, circumstances are sometimes outside your control, and practitioners will always try to be reasonable and use their discretion where there are genuine exceptional circumstances.
If a Practitioner Needs to Cancel or Reschedule
Occasionally, a practitioner may need to cancel, rearrange or change a class or appointment due to circumstances on their side. If this happens, you'll be given as much notice as reasonably possible, and the practitioner will always aim to offer an alternative session, online option or credit where appropriate. Cancellations made by a practitioner will be rescheduled at your convenience, or reimbursed where rescheduling isn't suitable.
In-Person and Online Classes
As classes may be offered either in person or online, the format of a class may occasionally need to change. Where a change from in-person to online is necessary, you'll be given as much notice as possible. If an online class is a suitable alternative, this may be offered in place of the original session. If an alternative isn't suitable, your practitioner will discuss the available options with you.
Credits
Credits are offered at the practitioner's discretion and are intended to provide flexibility rather than act as an automatic entitlement for every cancellation. Credits may have an expiry date and, unless otherwise agreed, are intended to be used towards a future class.
Pilates Bookings
Pay As You Go bookings: To cancel or reschedule, please contact Knot Out up to 24 hours before your booked class. Cancellations within 24 hours of the class start time are non-refundable.
Block bookings: Block bookings are non-refundable and apply only to the specific class booked. Block bookings have a one-pass policy — when notice is provided more than 24 hours beforehand, one class can be cancelled and rescheduled. Any classes cancelled by instructors will be reimbursed or rebooked where appropriate.
A Little Give and Take
These terms are here to make expectations clear, not to make things rigid. Unexpected things happen, and practitioners will always try to be fair and reasonable where they can. In return, clients are asked to give as much notice as possible when cancelling or changing a booking, and to understand that a credit or replacement class can't always be guaranteed. Where something falls outside the usual circumstances covered by these terms, it will be considered on an individual basis, at the practitioner's discretion.
Communication, Amendments, or Disputes
Katrina Davies, owner of Knot Out Therapies, is happy to facilitate any communications or disputes where possible. However, Knot Out Therapies (www.knot-out.co.uk) is not responsible for the actions, services, or outcomes provided by any practitioner. Any issues or concerns with a practitioner's service should be addressed directly with the practitioner.
Confidentiality and Privacy
Practitioners maintain strict confidentiality and privacy in accordance with their professional standards.
Clients' Personal Information
Client personal information is used in the booking process and handled in line with Knot Out Therapies' privacy policy. Personal details will be shared with the practitioner booked, so that the practitioner can contact the client regarding their booking and obtain any additional consultation information required for the specific service being booked.
Changes to These Terms
Knot Out Therapies reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. By booking via www.knot-out.co.uk, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
If you have any questions or concerns about these terms and conditions, please contact Kat Davies via hello@knot-out.co.uk.
